Press Your Luck Guide
Press Your Luck is a casino gambling NPC where players pay zeny to attempt a staged reward game. Each stage gives a chance to win a prize. After winning, the player can either walk away and claim the current prize, or pay again to continue to the next stage for a better reward.
If the player fails a stage, they hit a WHAMMY and lose the current prize.

This is the casino version of Press Your Luck.
Basic Requirements

How The Game Works
Press Your Luck is a staged gambling game.
The player starts at Stage 1. If the player wins, the NPC offers two choices:
- Walk away and claim the current prize.
- Press Your Luck and risk the current prize for a chance at a better reward.
If the player continues and loses, they receive nothing.
Each time the player continues, the zeny cost doubles.
Cost Scaling
The first attempt costs the current base zeny fee. Each additional stage doubles the current cost.
Example if the base cost is 1,000,000 zeny:

If a player wins a stage but does not have enough zeny to continue, the NPC automatically gives the current prize and ends the game.
Jackpot System
Every initial play adds the base entry cost to the Press Your Luck zeny jackpot.
When the zeny jackpot reaches 1,000,000,000 zeny, it is converted into a 1B Zeny Bag jackpot counter.
The NPC displays:
- Current zeny jackpot
- Current 1B Zeny Bag jackpot
- Current weekly item jackpot, if active
Players can also donate 1B Zeny Bags to increase the jackpot.
Donating To The Jackpot
Players may donate 1B Zeny Bags to increase the jackpot.
Requirements:
- Must have 1B Zeny Bag items.
- Must pay a 500,000,000 zeny processing fee.
- Donated bags cannot be returned.
If fewer than 5 bags are donated, the donation is announced on the casino map. Larger donations are announced globally.
Weekly Item Jackpot
Press Your Luck has a weekly item jackpot. The weekly jackpot item is selected from a configured prize list and announced by the NPC.

Winning Stage 6 triggers the grand winner sequence. The player may keep the Stage 6 reward or risk it for Stage 7.
Stage 7 Bonus Stage
Stage 7 is the final bonus stage. The player only reaches it after winning Stage 6 and choosing to keep pressing their luck.
Unlike normal progression, the Stage 7 attempt costs the original base cost again.

If the player loses Stage 7, they receive nothing.
Walking Away
After most successful stages, the player can walk away and claim the current prize.
Walking away immediately gives the item or Hero EXP reward and ends the game.
This is the safest option after winning a valuable prize.
Losing: WHAMMY
If the player fails a stage, the NPC announces a WHAMMY.
When this happens:
- The current prize is lost.
- The zeny already spent is not refunded.
- The game ends.
- The player receives nothing.
Hero-Specific Rewards
Some reward slots behave differently for Hero characters.
Examples:
- Stage 3 can give Hero EXP instead of Biotite.
- Stage 4 can give Heroic Coins instead of a 500M Zeny Bag.
Hero EXP rewards are only added if the player chooses to walk away or cannot afford to continue.
Staff Controls
Game Masters can access a debug menu with options to:
- Run the NPC normally.
- Jump to a specific stage.
- Set the number of jackpot 1B Zeny Bags.
- Change the zeny cost.
- Disable the NPC by setting the cost to 0.
- View total zeny spent.
- View jackpot winner records.
- Restart the weekly item jackpot.
Important Notes
- This is a gambling NPC.
- Rewards are not guaranteed.
- Continuing after a win risks the current prize.
- Each new stage costs twice as much zeny as the previous one.
- If you run out of zeny after winning, the NPC gives your current prize and ends the game.
- The jackpot grows as players spend zeny.
- Players may donate 1B Zeny Bags to increase the jackpot.
- The weekly item jackpot can only be won while it is active.
- If the NPC is disabled, players cannot play until staff re-enable it.

- Walk away early if you win something useful.
- Do not continue unless you are comfortable losing your current prize.
- Stage 1 and Stage 2 are safer but have smaller rewards.
- Stage 5 and Stage 6 are where the major jackpots and rare prizes begin.
