Wheel of Fortune Guide
The Wheel of Fortune is a chance-based NPC that lets players spend 3 V4P Tokens for a random reward or penalty. It can grant zeny, items, safe refines, buffs, jackpot rewards, or unlucky punishments depending on which wheel is chosen.

Requirements

The NPC checks both the character/account cooldown and the computer/device cooldown. This is meant to prevent players from using multiple accounts to bypass the 12 hour limit.
Important: Once you pay the 3 V4P Token fee and confirm a wheel, the cooldown begins even if you cancel or choose poorly afterward.
Hero Access
The Wheel of Fortune can be configured by staff to be Hero-only.
If Hero-only access is enabled, non-Hero characters cannot spin the wheel at all.
If Hero-only access is disabled, non-Hero characters can still play, but they only receive access to:
- COINS
- CUPS
- WANDS
Non-Hero characters cannot use the SWORDS wheel.
Guild Honor Reward
When a player with a guild spins the Wheel of Fortune, the NPC adds:
- 2 WOF points to the character's guild record
- 2 Overall points to the character's guild record
- 2 honor points to the guild
This happens after the player commits to a wheel and pays the fee.
Jackpot System
Every paid spin adds 15,000,000 zeny to the Wheel of Fortune jackpot.
When the jackpot reaches 1,000,000,000 zeny, it is converted into a 1B Zeny Bag and the jackpot counter resets.
Some rewards can also increase the jackpot further. For example, the WANDS wheel's Super Luck result adds 500,000,000 zeny to the jackpot.
When a player lands on JACKPOT, they receive:
- The current jackpot zeny
- Any stored 1B Zeny Bags
After the jackpot is won, the jackpot resets to 10,000,000 zeny.
Wheel Choices
The NPC has four main wheels:

SWORDS Wheel
The SWORDS wheel focuses on equipment refine changes. It can safely refine certain equipped items upward, but it can also downgrade gear.
Before spinning, players should equip only items they are willing to risk.
The NPC warns that it cannot refine most items above +8. If the selected slot is already over the allowed limit, the spin is still consumed.

COINS Wheel
The COINS wheel focuses on zeny. It can reward zeny, remove zeny, double held zeny, halve held zeny, or grant the jackpot.

WANDS Wheel
The WANDS wheel is the highest-risk wheel. It has stronger rewards, but also much harsher punishments.
For Hero characters, WANDS can heavily refine or downgrade gear. For non-Hero characters, some powerful refine results are replaced with Rare Ore Box rewards instead.
The WANDS wheel rolls from 124 possible outcomes.

Palk's Magical Grab Bag
The Grab Bag is a mini-game that appears from the CUPS or WANDS wheels.
Players choose one of three ways to pull from the bag:
- Quickly grab the first item
- Rummage around the bag
- Grab something unusual
Each choice changes the possible outcome range.
Possible Grab Bag results include:

| Hero Crystal | Hero characters gain Hero EXP |
| Overloaded Crystal | Non-Hero characters may be killed by the crystal's power |
Important Warnings
- The NPC is a gambling NPC. Bad outcomes are intentional.
- The 3 V4P Token fee is consumed after confirming a wheel.
- The 12 hour cooldown starts after committing to a wheel.
- Multiple-account abuse to bypass cooldown can result in permanent bans.
- Mobile clients cannot use this NPC.
- Do not wear valuable refineable gear unless you accept the risk.
- The SWORDS and WANDS wheels can downgrade equipment.
- COINS and WANDS can remove zeny.
- CUPS and WANDS can kill the player.
Recommended Strategy
For safer spins, use COINS or CUPS, but remember that both still have penalties.
Use SWORDS only when you intentionally want to gamble with equipped refine levels.
Use WANDS only if you are comfortable with severe penalties, including heavy refine loss, bankrupt results, death, and status effects.
